This Privacy Policy explains what information LateStop collects, how we use it, and who we share it with, when you use trylatestop.com (the "Service"), operated by LateStop.com ("LateStop," "we," "us," or "our").
Information we collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password in plain text).
Invoice and client information: When you add an invoice, we collect and store:
- Your client's name and email address
- The invoice amount and due date
- Payment status (paid/unpaid)
This information belongs to your business relationships, not ours — we store it on your behalf so LateStop can send reminders and generate payment links for you.
Payment information: When your clients pay an invoice, payment is processed directly by Stripe. LateStop does not receive, see, or store credit card numbers or other sensitive payment details — Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy and security practices.
Usage information: We may automatically collect basic technical information (like browser type and general usage patterns) to keep the Service running and to fix problems.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service (creating your account, tracking your invoices, sending reminder emails)
- Generate Stripe payment links for your invoices
- Communicate with you about your account (billing, important updates)
- Improve and maintain the Service
We do not sell your information, or your clients' information, to anyone. We do not use your client's contact information for any purpose other than sending the reminder emails you've configured through LateStop.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers ("subprocessors") that make LateStop work, and only as needed for them to do their job:

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how they handle data on our behalf. We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party for marketing purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
Data retention
We retain your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records for legal or accounting purposes (such as payment records Stripe may independently retain under its own obligations).
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access and update your account information at any time by logging in
- Delete individual invoices you've added
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at trylatestop@gmail.com
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws (such as the right to access, correct, or export your data). Contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using industry-standard providers (Supabase, Stripe) that maintain their own security practices, and restricting access to your data based on verified account login. However, no method of storing or transmitting data online is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
LateStop is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you, such as by email or a notice on the Service.
