Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you," "your," or "the account holder") and LateStop.com ("LateStop," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the LateStop website and service at trylatestop.com (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What LateStop does
LateStop lets you track invoices you've sent to your own clients and automatically sends scheduled follow-up reminder emails on your behalf when those invoices go unpaid. LateStop also generates a payment link (via Stripe) for each invoice so your clients can pay directly.
LateStop is a reminder and tracking tool, not a debt collection agency, and not a guarantee of payment. We don't take legal action on your behalf, negotiate with your clients, or guarantee that any client will pay. You remain solely responsible for your relationship with your own clients and for how you choose to handle unpaid invoices beyond what this Service automates.
Who can use LateStop
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use LateStop. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
Your responsibilities
By using LateStop, you agree that:
- You have the right to store and contact the client information you enter. When you add an invoice, you're providing us with your client's name, email, and payment details. You confirm that you have a legitimate business relationship with that person and the right to send them the emails LateStop generates on your behalf.
- You won't use LateStop to harass, threaten, or send abusive communications to anyone, regardless of whether they owe you money.
- The information you provide is accurate — including invoice amounts, due dates, and client contact details.
- You're responsible for reviewing the reminder emails and payment links LateStop sends on your behalf, and for correcting any mistakes (like a wrong amount) promptly.
Payments and billing
- LateStop offers a Free tier and paid subscription tiers (Solo, Team), as described on our pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring basis until canceled.
- You can cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you won't be charged again after that, but we don't provide partial refunds for the remainder of a period you've already paid for, unless required by law.
- Payments from your clients are processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. LateStop does not see, collect, or store your clients' card numbers or other payment card details — that information goes directly to Stripe, which is independently responsible for handling it securely under its own terms and applicable payment industry standards (PCI DSS).
What we don't guarantee
- We don't guarantee that your clients will open, read, or act on the reminder emails LateStop sends.
- We don't guarantee any particular collection rate, payment timeline, or business outcome.
- The Service is provided "as is." We'll do our best to keep it running reliably, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LateStop and its owner(s) are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost revenue, lost clients, or damaged business relationships — even if we've been advised such damages were possible. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Ending your account
You can stop using LateStop and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in abusive behavior toward us or toward the recipients of reminder emails.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you (such as by email or a notice on the Service). Continued use of LateStop after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
